Here are links to websites I like:

  • www.tavernamontisi.com:  Our favorite restaurant in Montisi, Da Roberto, is located at the edge of the village with a lovely garden setting.  Roberto encourages our guests to drop by for a caffe in the garden, a leisurely lunch under the pergola, or a tasty dinner of local specialities, with wines carefully selected by him.  You'll have a great time.
  •  www.ballooningintuscany.com : see Tuscany from the sky with Robert Etherington.  Breathtaking.

  • www.HotelBurchianti.it :  This is my favorite small (10 rooms), charming hotel in Florence in the most perfect location.  Tell Mario you are a friend of mine, and ask about the studio apartment on the top floor with the little balcony.  There's a view of the Duomo that will take your breath away, and it's the same price as a room!  Enchanting.

  •  www.VillaMarsili.net :  If you are traveling to Cortona of "Under The Tuscan Sun" fame, you must stay in this gorgeous, elegant hotel for a special treat.  Tell Stefano I sent you and he will take good care of you.  Well, he'd do that anyway!

  • www.slowtrav.com: a great site for travel recommendations and to meet fellow travelers.  Be careful....it's addictive!

  • www.il-girasole.com:  in Cortona, a beautiful shop with reproduction Etruscan jewelry and other artisan gifts and crafts from the best in Tuscany.  Owned by my friend, Alessandra Federici.  And she cooks!

  • www.aladdintravelservices.com: contact Valerie Gerber at Aladdin Travel Services, LTD, for your travel needs:  770-475-1511

  • www.medjetassist.com/ggescapes: medical evacuation assistance for medical emergencies. MedjetAssist provides an invaluable service - they bring you to your home hospital. I recommend this for all travelers.

  • www.luberonexperience.com: if you happen to wander into Provence by mistake (or on purpose!), please contact my good friend, Kathy Wood, for a great experience in France.

  • www.SlowTravelTours.com:  Slow Travel Tours is an informal affiliation of small-group tour operators who offer personalized trips in Italy, France and other European countries.
  • www.cinquesorelle.com:  This new website will tell you about the five sister villages in the Montisi and Trequanda area of Southern Tuscany.  It includes, Petroio, Castelmuzio, and San Giovanni D'Asso, all villages of medieval charm and history.  You'll want to visit all five!
  • www.cretaiole.it:  Agriturismo Cretaiole is located near Pienza, where Isabella and Carlo will welcome you into their lively Italian life.  They have created a warm inviting family atmosphere where you will enjoy the fruits of their farm labors.  You may even decide to participate in grape and olive harvesting, truffle hunting, gardening, or cooking classes!
